Is Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s steamy scenes the reason why the Bachchans have a tiff with Aishwarya?

It’s been a couple of months since we’ve been coming across news about things not really being hunky dory between star couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. What has been even more startling is the fact that apart from speculating a rough patch between the two actors, fans also speculate things are not being great between the actress and her in-laws.

From Shweta Bachchan Nanda to Jaya Bachchan, rumours of Aishwarya Rai not getting along with the Bachchan family have been rampant. Perhaps this is why in all of this when a Reddit user discusses the possible reason behind this coldness, fans have tuned in.

I recently came across this thread on Reddit which claimed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to be the reason behind the alleged cold war in the Bachchan family. He wrote, “Jaya Bachchan made a cryptic comment around the time the movie was released. She said, ‘Earlier, filmmakers created art. Today, it’s a business and all about numbers. Everything is thrown in our faces. People have forgotten subtlety. Open display of affection is considered smart… sharam naam ki toh cheez hee nahi hai.’”

There was talk that Bachchans weren’t happy with Aishwarya’s Dhoom kiss and there was tension. So they definitely don’t like it if she’s doing steamy scenes after becoming mother to their grandchild. If Aishwarya wanted to prove a point by doing that film, she paid a heavy price as situations worsened, it seems post the movie.”
At the same time, someone else countered that point of view and wrote, “I think the dynamics changed even before that. When she made her comeback in that Irrfan khan movie, no one from the Bachchan family came to support her at the screening or posted on Twitter which they do for abhisheks movies. That seemed weird. Then there was that incident with abhishek and paps for the Sandeep hooda movie. Wasn’t that before ae dil.”

Amid all of these rumours which have been circulating for a very long time now, there is still no real statement that has been passed by either of the two actors. In fact Abhishek Bachchan shared a photo with Aishwarya and his daughter Aaradhaya only 8 weeks ago, hinting that everything is good in the hood.
